The fixture for the Australia Cup 2024 Round of 32 have been revealed as NPL and A-League sides prepare to clash.
To open the final rounds, eight fixtures will see NPL sides host A-League opposition.
Headlining the Victorian contingent of teams will be Oakleigh Cannons FC, who host reigning Australia Cup Winners, Sydney FC.
This shapes as an exciting rematch following Oakleigh’s defeat of the Sky Blues in the Australia Cup 2022 Quarter Finals.
After winning the premiership, championship and AFC Cup treble in 2023-24, Central Coast Mariners will be looking to add another trophy to their already stocked cabinet this year and begin their quest for a fifth trophy in three seasons with a trip to Heidelberg United FC.
Two matches will be played in Western Australia, including a matchup between Edgeworth Eagles FC from NSW– the oldest team to participate in the Australia Cup – up against Olympic Kingsway FC.
It will be a tantalising inter-state clash when NPL heavyweights, Queensland’s Olympic FC take on NSW’s APIA Leichhardt FC.
South Melbourne FC will welcome 2023/24 A-League semi-finalists Wellington Phoenix.
The Australia Cup 2024 Round of 32 will be played over two
weeks from late-July to mid-August.
It’s anticipated that venues, dates and timings for the
Round of 32 will be made available next week, as Football Australia works with
participating clubs and Member Federations to navigate ground availability.
