The 2024 Greek Film Festival, presented by the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia (GOCSA), is set to return to Adelaide from 22 to27 October at Palace Nova Cinemas, in Prospect.

The Opening Night promises to be a Greek hospitality and entertainment, beginning with meze and wine, followed by the film screening of Thodoris Niarchos’ quirky comedy Hear Who’s Talking.

With a curated selection of eight films over six days to showcase the depth and diversity of Greek culture through cinema not only through bold cinematic storytelling but also the cultural narratives that continue to resonate with the Greek diaspora in Australia.

“Cinema can transport us to different worlds, evoke emotions, and shed light on diverse stories,” said Hellas Lucas, Chair of the GOCSA Cultural Committee.

“The 2024 Greek Film Festival unfurls a canvas of bold narratives and remarkable visions, mirroring the evolving dynamics of the homeland and the world at large.”

Beyond the films, the festival encourages audiences to engage in lively discussions about the stories and perspectives brought to life on the screen.

“We invite everyone to join us in exploring this year’s exceptional films and share in the joy of cinema that unites us all,” added Lucas.

General Sessions: $25 for adults, $20 for students, seniors, and concession holders
