With profound sadness, the Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) has announced the passing of beloved teacher Stella Athanasia, who taught at the Doncaster campus of GCM’s Language and Culture Schools.
Ms Athanasia, who dedicated over two decades to educating young students in Greek language and culture, is warmly remembered for her invaluable contributions and commitment to preserving Hellenic heritage in Melbourne.
The GCM issued a heartfelt tribute on social media, expressing, “Her memory and contribution will remain alive in our hearts,” extending their condolences to Ms Athanasia’s family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her, honouring the deep impact she had on students, colleagues, and the broader Greek community.
Her legacy continues through the many students whose lives she touched, leaving a lasting imprint on the next generation’s understanding and love for the Greek language and culture.
