“Rosemary Franzidis was a much-loved wife, mother, and grandmother, who cherished her family more than anything in the world,” her family said.
“A woman of strong faith, she had many church friends who will remember her fondly.
“Everybody who met Rose felt her love, kindness and generosity.”
As reported by local media, the fatal collision took place on Dohles Rocks Rd at about 9.45am on Thursday with emergency services called to the scene after reports of an allegedly stolen blue Audi crashing with a white Toyota Corolla.
According to the Queensland police report, a 16-year-old Caboolture boy, who was the alleged driver of the Audi, was taken into custody at the scene of the crash and has since been charged with manslaughter, robbery armed and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, as well as two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
Police allege that the blue Audi hit a stationary police vehicle near the scene injuring two officers.
Both were taken to hospital with minor injuries and have since been released.
It is further alleged by police that 15 minutes before the fatal crash, a woman was threatened with a firearm and the blue Audi was stolen from Dohles Rocks Road, Griffin.
The 16-year-old boy appeared before Brisbane Childrens Court on Friday, represented by a Youth Advocacy Centre solicitor.
The case is back in court on 17 December.
According to the police report, it is believed the boy could have links to occupants of a stolen orange Holden Hatchback, registration 906 IP3, that was seen in the area at the time of the crash.
Police are appealing for anyone who sees or knows the whereabouts of this vehicle to contact triple 000 immediately. Members of the public are urged not to approach the vehicle, or anyone associated with the vehicle.
