The Semaphore Greek Festival will return to the Semaphore Foreshore on the weekend of January 18-19, 2025, celebrating its 44th year with the unifying theme ‘Όλοι Μαζί’ (‘It Takes a Village’).

Organised by the Greek Orthodox Community of the Nativity of Christ, Port Adelaide & Environs, this event is a showcase of Greek culture, food, music, and dance.

‘Όλοι Μαζί’ (pronounced OH-lee Mah-ZEE), meaning ‘All Together’, embodies the spirit of Greek village life, where unity and collaboration are central to community strength.

The Semaphore Greek Festival is not just a celebration for the Greek-Australian community but an open invitation to people from all walks of life to experience Greek culture.

Proceeds from the event will support local community initiatives, further strengthening ties within South Australia.

“This year’s theme celebrates the essence of Greek culture—community,” said John Douvartzidis, President of the organising committee.

“We invite all of South Australia to experience the warmth and togetherness that define our heritage.”

It’s been likened to experiencing Greek villages in Epirus, Crete and the Cyclades.
