Applications open for NEPOMAK’s 2025 cultural programs for Cypriot youth

NEPOMAK (The World Federation of Young Overseas Cypriots) has officially opened applications for its 2025 NDCP (NEPOMAK Discover Cyprus Program) and NCCT (NEPOMAK Cypriot Culture Tour) programs. These initiatives offer young Cypriots the opportunity to connect with their heritage, immerse themselves in Cypriot culture, and foster lifelong connections with peers worldwide.

The programs on offer are heavily subsidised, the majority of the costs covered by NEPOMAK with support from the Government of Cyprus and the Youth Board of Cyprus.

Anyone wishing to apply must fit a certain age range (depending on the program), have at least one Cypriot grandparent and also be a registered member of NEPOMAK, with anyone interested in becoming one able to do so at nepomak.org/signup.

NDCP (NEPOMAK Discover Cyprus Program) details:

Dates: 30 June – 21 July 2025

Eligibility: Open to individuals aged 18–22

Overview: Participants will explore Cyprus through cultural, historical, and social activities, gaining a deeper understanding of the island’s rich traditions and modern identity.

NCCT (NEPOMAK Cypriot Culture Tour) details:

Dates: 21 August – 1 September 2025

Eligibility: Open to individuals aged 23–30

Overview: This program focuses on fostering a deeper cultural connection, offering participants a chance to engage with Cypriot traditions, cuisine, and communities.

Eligibility criteria:

Applicants must have at least one Cypriot grandparent to qualify for either program. Both programs are highly competitive, with limited spots available. Applications will be reviewed through a selection process that includes interviews.

Application Deadline: Sunday, 2 February 2025

NDCP Program Dates: 30 June – 21 July 2025

NCCT Program Dates: 21 August – 1 September 2025
