Nunawading City FC juniors, aged U9 to U13, experienced an unforgettable day on the weekend as they met Greek football icons, Giorgos Karagounis, Angelos Charisteas, and Theo Zagorakis.

The three football heroes were part of the Greek National Team that beat Portugal in the unforgettable 2004 Euro final.

The juniors took an avalanche of pics, groups and selfies, as well as collecting prized autographs from the Greek football legends.

The aspiring young stars also got a chance to hone their skills with the best. Giorgos Karagounis, Angelos Charisteas and the captain of the Euro 2004 champions, Theo Zagorakis, landed in Sydney last Tuesday night, for a two-week tour of Australia.

The visiting trio are taking part in events in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Canberra.

Presented by Nikos Mouzourakis of the Football Brilliance Academy (FBA), their tour includes community events, club visits, and a highly anticipated legends race at Sydney’s Lambert Park this Sunday.
