Greek representation is set to shine once again at the Australian Open, with Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari leading the charge in this year’s first Grand Slam tournament.

The passionate support of Melbourne’s Greek community is expected to play a pivotal role, as the athletes look to advance in their respective draws.

Maria Sakkari, ranked World No. 32, will kick off her campaign against Colombia’s Camila Osorio (No. 61) in the first round on Monday, January 13.

On the same day, World No. 11 Stefanos Tsitsipas takes on American Alex Michelsen (No. 41) in what promises to be an exciting opening-round clash.
