The Greek Communities of Melbourne and NSW have officially announced Rena Morfi as the headline artist for their respective festivals in 2025.
The talented singer will come Down Under next month as she performs at the Antipodes Festival on Saturday 22 February before going to Sydney the following day to sing at Darling harbour.
Rena Morfi rose to prominence as the lead singer of the acclaimed swing band “Imam Baildi”, with her career as a solo artist also proving fruitful with hits like “Otan Sou Horevo,” “Pouli Tha Gino,” and “Ego Esena De Thelo.”
Jorge Menidis, Director of the Antipodes Festival, said they are immensely excited to have secured Morfi for their 2025 program, saying:
“She brings something truly special to our festival stage and complements the 75+ hours of programming that the festival team has put together.”
Nia Karteris, Greek Festival of Sydney Chair, shared Menidis’ enthusiasm in enlisting Morfi to perform for their event.
“Her performances are full of life and soul, and we’re thrilled to have her here in Australia. She will light up Darling Harbour and be the cherry on top of our landmark February event,” Karteris said.
