The 2025 Greek Festival of Sydney is fast approaching with everything being prepared to deliver another year celebrating Hellenic culture, starting with its standard massive two-day event at Darling Harbour.

The Greek Fest will once more be hosted in the heart of Sydney with it taking place on 22 and 23 February, featuring numerous stalls, dance performances and musical displays that all put a spotlight on Hellenism.

Among the entertainment organised will be the visiting artists from Greece, Rena Morfi and Nikos Zoidakis, who will be raring to delight the thousands of attendees.

The Darling Harbour event represents the opening of a packed-out schedule of initiatives spread across three months, as organised by the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW.

Nia Karteris, Greek Festival of Sydney Chair, expressed her immense enthusiasm as they prepare to showcase the various events in the 2025 calendar.

“The Greek Festival of Sydney is proud to embraces young and upcoming artists, allowing them to showcase their cultural field in this year’s program and invest in the future of our young and upcoming artists,” Karteris told Neos Kosmos.

The Festival Chair emphasised their ongoing commitment to encouraging the promotion of the Greek language and culture through the arts, with the Greek Fest representing the first major step of that.

“The Greek Orthodox Community of NSW invested a great amount of financial outlay to ensure high calibre of local young artists and International Artists,” she said.

“We have an impressive three months filled with amazing Greek culture throughout Sydney that we cannot wait to showcase.”

Karteris stressed that the Festival’s success is the result of the help of numerous individuals and stakeholders.

“I am grateful to the NSW Government, presenting partner Bank of Sydney, the sponsors, local councils, the Community’s board of directors, staff, media, as well as all the volunteers who make this all possible.”
