The Byzanfest International Orthodox Film Festival is calling on all Orthodox Christian filmmakers to send through their work with the official commencement of its submission period for its 2025 event.
Byzanfest is preparing for another successful edition with them now accepting short-film, feature-length and unproduced screenplay submissions for this year’s edition.
“We are excited to open our doors to fresh and unique storytelling” said Festival Director Chris Vlahonasios in a media release.
“This festival is a celebration of Orthodox-inspired cinematic artistry. We look forward to discovering new voices that explore the power of film.”
The organisers noted that selected films will have the opportunity to be screened before a diverse audience of cinephiles, industry professionals, and fellow creators within Australia and around the world.
They stated that filmmakers of all levels can submit their work, highlighting the desire to be exposed to the creativity of all.
The submission period cuts off on 9 June 2025 with all entries needing to be sent via FilmFreeway.
The film festival stressed for all to go to their website (www.byzanfest.com) or https://filmfreeway.com/Byzanfest for further information on guidelines and how to submit a film.
