Greek Australian twin chefs Helena and Vikki Moursellas are bringing the joy of the Greek taverna to kitchens around the world with their latest cookbook, OPA!.
Following the success of their debut Peináo: A Greek Feast For All (2023), the Adelaide-born sisters return with 80 vibrant recipes inspired by the atmosphere, flavours and traditions of Greece’s favourite casual eateries.
From classics like lamb kleftiko and horiátiki salata to modern additions such as king prawns with fennel and caper butter, the book is a celebration of the food and feeling that define Greek dining.
“OPA! is more than just recipes. It’s the spirit of joy, surprise and celebration that lives at the heart of every taverna meal,” the authors said.

Helena and Vikki’s mission is clear “to bring people together around the table, the Greek way”.
Raised in a Greek household and taught to cook by their grandmother Koula, the Moursellas twins have built a career sharing their heritage through food. Now based between Sydney and London, they work as chefs, food stylists and content creators.
Published by Smith Street Books, OPA! features recipes alongside stories and photos that capture the heart and soul of Greek hospitality.
