Amad ‘Jay’ Malkoun, the former Comancheros bikie boss, that survived a recent bomb attack in Glyfada, Athens, is set to make millions on a land deal at Donnybrook, 35 kilometres north of Melbourne.
Malkoun, recovering from serious burns following the attack, is currently in an Athens hospital.
Meanwhile, he is set to reap $40 million from a proposed housing estate on his Donnybrook farm according to a report in The Age.
Local property experts say the site is presently worth about $20 million, but could be worth $60 million once the development is complete. He had bought the farm for $950,000 in 2009 and owns a 95 per cent stake of the property.
Of course, the subdivision proposal could be complicated by a government plan to acquire part of Malkoun’s land to build sewerage infrastructure.
Greek police are meanwhile investigating Malkoun’s criminal associations in Asia and Europe, where he established a Comancheros chapter. Malkoun’s Mercedes-Benz exploded when he tried to start it outside a gym. Two men dragged him from the wreckage.
