Yesterday the Greek Government announced that in light of COVID-19 case numbers rising at the northern border of Promachonas, non-essential travellers must present a negative coronavirus test result to border officials.
The test must be conducted within 72 hours before entering the country.

Government spokesperson Stelios Petsas said that authorities had seen cases increasing in some Balkan countries and checks had been more extensive for those crossing between Bulgaria and Greece.
Mr Petsas also announced the latest provision will be in effect from 6:00 am Tuesday 14 July.

The National Public Health Organisation (EODY) recorded 60 new coronavirus cases on 11 July, with 40 of these coming from people entering Greece by land or air.
Flights from the United Kingdom are set to resume from 14 July, which is only one day before the ban on Serbian citizens is lifted.
