The Greek Super League kicked off last weekend with five games as Aris, PAOK, Volos and Asteras knocked out their competition.
Friday 11 September saw the two Thessalonian powerhouses take on their opponents due to their midweek European fixtures.
Lamia were blindsided by Aris’ incredible 3-1 performance, whilst PAOK’s young gun Christos Tzolis gave the team their 1-0 victory over Larissa.

On Saturday OFI and Panetolikos drew 1-1 at Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium, while Atromitos, left with 10 players on the field let themselves down as Volos shook up their hosts with a final score of 2-0
The next set of first round games are set for 21 October after league newcomers Apollon and PAS Giannina requested a delayed start.
AEK and Olympiacos will meet again after their Greek Cup final clash on 16 December, where AEK will hope to take back a win after their 1-0 defeat.
