The two ‘eternal’ rivals, Panathinaikos and Olympiacos, as well as AEK and Aris, will face off in double matches for the Greek Soccer Cup Meanwhile, AEK will host Panathinaikos, and Olympiacos will face AEK in the Greek Soccer Championship Super League!

2024 kicks off in the best possible way for Greek Soccer fans and Antenna Pacific subscribers! At least 25 games in January for the Greek Soccer Championship Super League and the Greek Soccer Cup are expected to capture the audience’s interest!

Among this multitude of matches, the spotlight falls on the 6 top derbies, all scheduled within a one-week span! Specifically, Panathinaikos hosts Olympiacos, and AEK faces Aris in the first rescheduled matches of the Greek Soccer Cup’s Round of 16.

A week later, Olympiacos in Faliro and Aris in Harilaou seek to… reciprocate the hosting favor against Panathinaikos and AEK, respectively. The four contenders in these double classic matches will give their all to secure a ticket to the quarterfinals of the Greek Soccer Cup.

The major showdown between Olympiacos and AEK will have taken place, as well as the significant Athens derby at “Agia Sophia” between AEK and Panathinaikos for the Greek Soccer Championship Super League. The three teams, competing alongside PAOK, at the top of the league, are both aiming for a victory to gain an advantage in the title race. However, there is still a long way to go in the pursuit of the championship.

Indeed, January holds many challenges for the title contenders! The pioneer PAOK gets challenged in Volos against the ascending local team, while Olympiacos will travel to Lamia. Panathinaikos, now with a new coach on the bench, will host PAS Giannina, Panaitolikos, and Asteras Tripolis. Meanwhile, AEK, aiming to overcome the two failures at the end of 2023, welcomes Volos and OFI. There is, of course, intense interest in the battle for the sixth position and at the bottom of the standings, with Antenna Pacific broadcasting crucial matches in January that will determine much!

In addition to the highlighted matchups between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos, as well as AEK and Aris, there is particular interest in PAOK’s effort to defend a 1-0 lead at Panthessaliko Stadium in the Round of 16 of the Greek Soccer Cup! Most pairings have left scores open for the return legs in the Round of 16, with teams vying for a ticket to the Quarterfinals set to begin at the end of January!
