Giannis Antetokounmpo is an overall good guy.

There are stories about everyday things he has done to bring joy to the lives of others, and a video circulating on social media is just one more addition to anecdotes of his kindness.

The video shows a little girl named Lily, aged 11, bringing her jersey to be signed at an autograph-signing event. As Giannis signs her shirt, she tentatively holds up a purple sketchbook with artwork for the Bucks star. “I’ve wanted to give this to you for a very long time. You’re my favourite athlete,” she said before handing him the folder.

Giannis enthusiastically looked through it and was so moved by her talent that he got up from behind the desk and walked to the little girl.

Hovering over her like a giant he bent down and hugged her. She burst into tears and the entire spectacle was enough to tug at people’s heartstrings.

On the courts, Giannis is playing incredibly well with the Milwaukee Bucks. At 57-19, his team is ranked first in the Eastern Conference with the best record in the entire league. A large part of the success is due to Antetokounmpo’s contribution and monstrous dunks.
