COVID-19 denier Eve Black, whose real name is Eve Limberiou, revealed the backlash she faced following a video showing her refusing to answer police questions at a Melbourne checkpoint at Bunyip. She told Yahoo News she received death and rape threats after she made headlines in July and was also spat on in the streets.

She has made a new start working as a live-in nanny and said she just wants to move forward in her life following her ordeal, however she said people still hold a “vindictive attitude” more than three months since the video aired.

“People who make personal attacks on someone else who has personally never harmed them are far bigger offenders than I will ever be,” she said.

The former adult entertainer, aged 28, said the video was not meant for the public at large but for a close group of friends and she was surprised by the extent it got.

“People think I did this for attention. I did not do it for attention. What person in their right mind would want that kind of attention? I don’t want to be famous,” she said.

Following the video Victoria Police Minister Lisa Neville labelled Ms Black as “selfish” and vowed to catch up with her. Police officers arrested her in Carlton and smashed her window after she failed to comply and this prompted even more abuse by members of the public. She said the media also created a furore. She said critics who “threaten and laugh” should “take a good look at themselves in the mirror” and bets that, in other circumstances, they would “be advocates for anti-bullying campaigns”.

She has moved on and states she has now turned a page in her life, moving away from the adult entertainment scene where she worked as an “erotic dancer” and is now a nanny, looking after children, at a family farm. She states the job is “incredibly rewarding”.

On social media, she continues to label COVID-19 as “a bogus flu” and proudly boasts about ignoring social media.
