Children with kidney conditions were the focus of the Pankoaki Brotherhood’s fundraising efforts. Thanks to the group’s generosity, funds were raised to support the Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Car Rally benefitting kids and young people affected by kidney disease.

This year the rally adventure will travel from Port Macquarie to Armidale via Capricorn Coast to raise money for a camp for children with the disease, their families and medical staff. While a camp may sound like a simple enough venture, children with kidney conditions don’t have the opportunity to attend camps, with many of them spending five hours in hospital on alternate days in order to undergo life-supporting dialysis.

Pankoaki Committee member George Papadopoulos, who also suffers from kidney disease, along with his son Nicholas will be joining in the kar rally leaving Melbourne on 7 August 2019 and travelling around the designated route before returning to Melbourne on 19 August, 2019.
