Daniil Medvedev defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Shanghai Masters after a hard-fought 7-6, 7-5 win in the Shanghai Masters.
It was a neck-to-neck game with both players holding on to their serve all the way through to the 11th tiebreak point.
Third-seed Medvedev from Russia claimed victory and wrapped up the win in 99 minutes.
Medvedev had previously knocked out Djokovic, the defending champ in three sets in the quarterfinals.

Medvedev is now set to face Zverev on Sunday as the two 24-and-under competitors battle for the Masters 1000 title.
