In a new study exploring wine tourism destinations around the world conducted by luggage storage app Bounce, both Greece and Australia has been named among the top places to visit.

The research focused on wine consumption and production, the number of vineyards and wine tours, as well as the average cost of a bottle of wine in comparison to quality for wine aficionados.

Italy sat at the top with a score of 8.28 points out of 10, followed by Portugal, Spain, France and New Zealand in the fifth place.

Greece was ranked sixth, scoring 5.24 points whereas the country’s strongest marketing point when it comes to wine is the high ratio of guided wine tours – 4,685 per 100,000 inhabitants, which is the second highest in the world based on the survey.

Chile and Australia followed Greece, on seventh and eight place respectively.
