Pastry Chef Anna Polyviou has joined the popular This Is Us bakery in Sydney’s Cherrybrook as creative director and has designed a menu that includes some of her signature desserts.
At the bakery diners will be able to enjoy the Greek-Cypriot’s famous fudge chocolate cake with chocolate crema and whipped caramel chocolate; brownies; lemon passionfruit tarts; berry tarts and banana bread.
This Is Us was known for providing a wide range of sourdough crumpets and English muffins in Harris Farm stores, where Polyviou also launched her own cookie dough range in February.
Polyviou’s 2020 cookie collaboration became a huge success making her create a permanent brand with three flavours: triple choc, choc brownie and peanut butter fudge.
The tubs include extra choc chips and other sweet decorations in Polyviou’s signature style.
“I wanted to use the very best ingredients available in my cookie dough,” says Polyviou.
“This includes couverture chocolate and real fudge pieces. It makes a world of difference and results in a superior cookie for customers at home.”
Polyviou is also set to open her first retail store on Illawarra Road on Marrickville later this year according to her Instagram posts.
“What better location than Marrickville. It’s forever been a dream of mine and my team’s to be around such an amazing community,” she said.
