Randwick bistro Clove Lane owned by Emile Avramides has won the People’s Choice Award in the delicious 100 list for New South Wales which incorporates the most “exciting, innovative, generous and delicious” restaurants in Victoria, NSW, Queensland and South Australia.

The list reviewers were back after a two-year COVID break.

Clove Lane which is situated in Sydney’s eastern suburbs was initial ranked 100th when delicious.100 released the list earlier this month. Once the wider public were called on to offer their votes Clove Lane rocketed to first place on the prestigious list.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Mr Avramides said that he had been surprised to hear the news of his restaurant’s success on the list.

“Just to be included in the delicious.100 in the first place was incredible. …It’s overwhelming to find out we’ve been voted as number one. We’re a small neighbourhood bistro so to see that support from the community has blown us away,” Mr Avramides said.

The review provided by delicious.100 praised Clove Lane for bringing a fine-dining experience to Sydney’s suburbs at reasonable prices.
